Research Topics: Fresh and fresh-cut fruits and vegetables. Studies on conditions affecting survival and growth of bacteria capable of causing diseases in humans. Development of standard method to detect and enumerate foodborne bacterial pathogens on produce. Evaluation of the efficacy of sanitizers and other decontamination measures to reduce or eliminate foodborne pathogens and spoilage microorganisms on produce.
