Commodities : cucumbers, zucchini squash, peppers, tomatoes, broccoli, pears

Research topics : Chilling injury. Use of natural products for prevention of browning and decay. Application and mechanism of methyl jasmonate in maintaining quality of fresh and fresh-cut fruits and vegetables. Use of UV-C irradiation on inhibiting microbial growth of fresh-cut produce. Effect of postharvest handling (such as heat treatment) on antioxidant activity of fruits and vegetables.

Instrumentation : GC, HPLC, UV/VIS spectrophotometer, fluorometer.
