Additionally, we offer the publication "Management of Fruit Ripening" (binder) available for purchase if you are unable to attend the workshop. For helpful information about the postharvest handling of avocados, please see our Produce Facts: Recommendations for Maintaining Postharvest Quality of Avocado. To ripen an avocado at home, place in a brown paper bag and fold the bag closed, it should ripen in a day or two. To accelerate the ripening process, include an apple or ripe banana in the bag. For additional information, please see the California Avocado Commission's web site.

Though your website link was in my favourites, yet saw the feedback icon for the first time. I would add that this website is a rare collection of state-of the art postharvest info from UC Davis. Who So Ever conceived this idea is a great, visionary, and truly scientist devoted to cause of Postharvest Science. I would describe this website " A Single Window Postharvest Information to the Whole World". Really a great contribution- Well done.

I am trying to find out what causes Breauxellian? Brasilian? Wesailian? wilt? All places I have searched have not mentioned anything that sounds like the name I heard for it. I was told it was caused by a nematode.
