Ethylene in Storage of Strawberries?


Under the responses to ethylene section of your Product Facts: Recommendations for Maintaining Postharvest Quality of Strawberries, it states:  “Removal of ethylene from storage air may reduce disease development.”  Can you advise what research was done to come to this conclusion and do you have any literature that you could send me that supports this?
